Senator Tom Berryhill and Assemblyman Frank Bigelow have introduced Senate Bill 520 to repeal the fire tax.  The proposal will be considered Tuesday, April 14th in the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water. You can make yourself heard in support of SB 520 by attending the hearing and calling members of the committee to tell them to vote YES.Please Click Here to get further details.

To ensure the safety of our youngest citizens, car seats are inspected for proper installation by a Certified Passenger Safety Technician for FREE. These inspections take place at Station 85 (1050 Wilson Blvd., El Dorado Hills, CA 95762) by appointment only.

Yesterday, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. issued an emergency proclamation for El Dorado and Siskiyou counties due to the effects of the King and Boles fires, which have burned thousands of acres, destroyed homes and other structures and damaged critical infrastructure.

The growth from yesterday has bumped up the total size of the fire to 70,944 acres. There are currently 3,695 fire personnel working this fire.
