The El Dorado Hills Firefighters’ Association would like to express their appreciation to the community for attending the 38th Annual Wine Cheese and Brew Festival. We hope you enjoyed the evening! Your support enables the Firefighters’ Association to give back to the community by providing emergency medical equipment, supporting the Volunteer Firefighter Program, conducting Fire Prevention and Safety Education Programs in our schools, hosting the Every 15 Minutes Program, conducting bicycle safety rodeos, sponsoring a scholarship program for college-bound high school seniors, sponsoring youth in a variety of activities, our annual Santa Run and much more. The Board of Directors of the El Dorado Hills County Water District (Fire Department) on Thursday, June 17, 2010, adopted a preliminary budget that is available at the El Dorado Hills Fire Station, 1050 Wilson Blvd., El Dorado Hills, California, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for inspection by interested taxpayers.
The 38th annual El Dorado Hills Fire Department Wine, Cheese & Brew Festival was all that and a lot more. An estimated 800 revelers turned out for on a gorgeous late summer Saturday evening to wine, dine and boogie on the old El Dorado Hills Golf Course. The event raised money for numerous prgrams sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Firefighters Association and the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, including Every 15 Minutes, the Boys & Girls Club of El Dorado County, local sports and volunteer organizations, the fire department’s smoke detector program, student scholarships and the community favorite Santa Run. The El Dorado Hills Fire Department is accepting junk cars for the purpose of practicing "jaws of life" skills. If you have an inoperable or unwanted automobile, please consider donating it for this purpose. The EDHFD will pay for the towing. Your automobile must have a clean title and you must be the registered owner. (You must also present a pink slip or legal print out from the DMV declaring your vehicle to be a junked vehicle as well as a valid I.D.)

On June 17, 2010, the El Dorado Hills Fire Department Honor Guard proudly represented the Department in honoring our Nation’s Veterans during a flagpole dedication ceremony. The ceremony, dedicating a new flag pole and plaque, honored 35 Veterans from multiple branches of the armed forces with a combined total of 382 years of service to our country. One of the Veterans is a P.O.W. that survived the Bataan Death March. These Veterans – both men and women – gave so much of their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. It is amazing and humbling to sit with them and listen as they share their experiences.
